It is basically tropical and is influenced heavily by northeast and southwest monsoons and the annual average temperature is between 20 – 35º C.
3 prominent destinations
Cape Kri: is one of the best diving sites in this area. For the divers it is a treat to be surrounded by a large variety of fish like tuna, chevron barracuda, dogtooth etc.
Farondi island: is located 20 kms off Misool island and the limestone cliffs are a favorite for any visitor because of the unique landscape. There are lots of tunnels, caves and caverns with rich colored walls.
Sel Pele: is a bay located on the western part of Waigeo Island and is famous for critter hunting. The inner bay is renowned for pearl farming.
